A senior HR professional — someone whose career had been built supporting others through restructures — found herself navigating one of her own, with no one inside the organisation she could safely turn to. Over a few weeks we repositioned her CV from transactional HR to strategic partnering, prepared for the interview using her own examples, and walked the journey together. She was appointed to the role.

Chat on WhatsAppTwenty years in some of South Africa's most complex organisations revealed a persistent imbalance: meaningful career investment was often reserved for a select few.
Identified high-potential employees received bespoke coaching, curated experiences and focused individual attention. Meanwhile, many capable people were offered generic development that overlooked how they learn, what they need and where their potential could lead. They were not without ability; often, they simply lacked a sponsor or did not fit the traditional "HiPo" mould. That pattern stayed with me. So did the other one: a young person may aspire to a career because it is the one visible to them — not because someone has helped them understand their strengths, their interests, the breadth of opportunity available, or how the world of work is changing.
South Africa's youth unemployment crisis is not only an economic challenge. It is also a challenge of access to information, meaningful guidance and opportunity.
Nalokuhle exists to change that — making real career support accessible to everyone, not just the few. Personalised, evidence-based and grounded in each person's actual potential.
Meet the FounderHelping young people make informed career choices before they enter the world of work.
Career development can begin long before a first job. Subject choices, study decisions and an understanding of strengths and possibilities can shape what becomes possible later.
We want to be a thinking partner to young people making some of their first important career decisions — and to the people supporting them.
Capable people who can be overlooked for development.
We use “Missing Middle” to describe capable professionals who are beyond early-career development but are not yet in the senior leadership or executive tier — people whose work carries real responsibility, yet who may receive less structured investment in their growth.
The Missing Middle is less about a job title or age and more about a gap: capable people with meaningful potential who are not receiving the development, visibility or career support they need to move forward.
We want to be a thinking partner to people who are building meaningful careers, carrying real responsibility and asking: What comes next?
Our tools are rigorous. Our judgement is what makes them useful. We use validated assessment tools alongside the professional interpretation of a registered Industrial Psychologist, considering the person, the work and the context in which they operate.
We select validated assessments to suit the presenting situation and the questions a sound diagnosis needs to answer. Each result is interpreted in context to support relevant, practical recommendations.
A structured assessment and practitioner validation interview exploring how someone handles complexity, their decision-making capability and potential for growth. It can inform career guidance, selection, talent development and coaching.
Combining the Enneagram with four developmental lenses, Five Lens offers a richer view of behaviour, motivations and growth across contexts. Andile is a Certified Practitioner and Certified Team Facilitator, supporting individual, team and leadership development.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer to a career or workplace question. We consider the person, the work, the environment and the context before recommending a way forward.
These practitioner accreditations support the methodologies Nalokuhle uses across career, team and organisational development.

At Nalokuhle, we use the term "Missing Middle" to describe the capable professionals who sit at the heart of organisational performance. They are the experienced specialists, supervisors, junior and middle managers who keep organisations moving forward every day. While they often carry significant responsibility and represent the largest proportion of organisational talent, they may have limited access to the same level of structured career development, coaching and investment afforded to senior leaders or formally identified high-potential talent.
Whether you are preparing for your next opportunity, navigating change, or simply seeking greater clarity about where your career is headed, we would be privileged to partner with you.

Career support when the ground shifts — moving through change with clarity, confidence and dignity.
A career transition is never just about finding your next job. Whether prompted by a restructure, redeployment, retrenchment or a deliberate move, it can unsettle your confidence, your identity and your sense of what comes next.
When that happens, most people get one of two things: transactional help from a CV writer, or emotional support from a friend. Almost no one gets both from someone who understands how organisations actually make hiring decisions.
Pivot Ready™ closes that gap. It combines the technical work — positioning your experience, preparing for interviews — with the psychological work of regaining perspective and self-belief.
We clarify the value you bring and shape a CV and professional profile that responds directly to the roles you are pursuing — repositioning experience from activity to strategic contribution.
Using your real experience, we identify the strongest examples, sharpen the message and rehearse until it lands. You walk in able to demonstrate impact rather than describe tasks.
A confidential space to process the journey, validate what you are feeling, regain perspective and visualise yourself in the role before you get there.

Every engagement begins with a confidential conversation. Investment is confirmed once the right level of support is agreed. Also available to organisations as discreet, per-employee support during restructures.

Not every organisation needs a full-time HR consulting team. Sometimes you need experienced support to think through a people challenge, strengthen an HR practice, deliver a defined project or add capacity at a critical point.
Nalokuhle provides focused HR advisory and project support, drawing on human capital, Industrial Psychology and organisation experience. Where a brief requires specialist capability beyond our core team, we can bring in trusted professionals from our associate network.
People priorities, HR strategy, operating-model thinking and practical advice on people-related decisions.
Performance practices, talent processes, development approaches and frameworks that help people perform and grow.
Defined HR projects, process reviews, diagnostics and implementation support where additional capacity or expertise is needed.
People-related work that connects with organisation design, job architecture, role clarity and change. Where specialist requirements overlap, we coordinate with Organisation Effectiveness.
Our model allows Nalokuhle to work with trusted professionals where a brief calls for additional or specialist expertise. This gives clients access to the right capability without turning every engagement into a large consulting exercise.
Industrial Psychology applied to the hiring decision — the professional judgement layer between a shortlist and an offer.
Nalokuhle Talent Acquisition & Selection supports organisations with role clarification, competency-based interview design, psychometric assessment, the Modified Career Path Appreciation (MCPA) interview where the level of the role warrants it, and structured shortlisting — so that the people you appoint are matched to the demands of the role and the capability the organisation actually needs.
This is not recruitment. It is independent, evidence-based support for the appointments that matter most.
Level of work, capability demands and success criteria, agreed with the hiring executive.
Competency-based interview guide and the right assessment battery for the level.
Psychometric assessment and, where the level of the role warrants it, an MCPA interview — each with a written, plain-language report per candidate.
Structured comparison, risk flags and onboarding recommendations for the appointee.
Aligning people, structure, culture and strategy so that the organisation can do what it says it will do.
Strategy only becomes real when the organisation is built to deliver it. Nalokuhle works with executives and HR leaders to make sure structure, roles, capability and culture are pulling in the same direction — using Industrial Psychology to bring evidence to decisions that are too often made on instinct.
Engagements range from a single diagnostic to multi-year design programmes, delivered independently or alongside your internal teams.
Independent Industrial Psychology opinion on employability, earning capacity, vocational functioning and career trajectory.
Attorneys, medical schemes and courts rely on an Industrial Psychologist to answer a specific question: what would this person's working life have looked like, and what does it look like now? Nalokuhle provides independent, evidence-based assessments and reports that answer that question with rigour and in plain language.
Reports are prepared for plaintiff and defendant instructions alike, and are supported by a full vocational and career-trajectory analysis grounded in the South African labour market.
Letter of instruction, medical reports and collateral documentation to medicolegal@nalokuhle.co.za.
Interview and assessment with the claimant, in person or virtually, plus collateral enquiries.
A court-ready report within the agreed turnaround, with availability for joint minutes and testimony.

Andile is an HPCSA-registered Industrial Psychologist with more than two decades of experience working across career development, organisation effectiveness, job architecture, talent management and human capital strategy — inside some of South Africa's most complex organisations.
She founded Nalokuhle on a conviction that exceptional career and organisational support should not be reserved for a select few. That the capable professional overlooked by formal talent programmes deserves the same depth of investment. That a Grade 9 learner making subject choices for the first time deserves the same quality of professional guidance as a senior executive navigating a career transition.
Every engagement she takes on reflects that belief — bringing the rigour of enterprise-grade Industrial Psychology to individuals, teams and organisations who need it, wherever they are in their journey.

We are looking for organisations who believe the same thing.
Nalokuhle's partnership model is simple: organisations co-fund career assessments for learners, students and professionals who cannot afford them independently. Every sponsored assessment delivers the same professionally structured career guidance process our paying clients receive.
Fund assessments for learners in under-resourced schools and communities. Measurable, reportable, professionally delivered.
Bring structured career guidance to your workforce — especially the Missing Middle professionals who rarely receive this level of investment.
Partner with schools, TVET colleges or universities to deliver assessment-based career guidance at scale, at reduced per-learner rates.
Align career-guidance interventions with sector skills plans, learnerships and youth development programmes.
Nalokuhle embeds into the academic calendar — Grade 9 subject-choice and Grade 11–12 tertiary-planning cohorts, parent briefings and per-learner reports.
A corporate foundation funds a cohort of 20–100 learners per cycle, with individual pathway reports and an aggregated impact report aligned to CSI reporting.
The school provides access and venue, the foundation funds, Nalokuhle delivers — institutional reach combined with philanthropic funding.
